Prop firms for Indonesian traders: who accepts you, and how the money gets home

The first question is whether a firm accepts Indonesia at all. Of the 26 firms here that publish a restricted-country list, 0 block Indonesia.

Indonesia is not on the restricted lists

Prop firms publish a list of countries they cannot onboard, usually for sanctions or licensing reasons. Of the 26 firms in this directory that publish such a list, 0 name Indonesia. Bangladesh, Belarus, Myanmar and North Korea appear repeatedly; Indonesia does not appear at all.

That is the single fact worth checking first, because everything else is wasted effort if the account cannot be opened. It also means the choice for an Indonesian trader is made on the same grounds as anyone else: rules, price and payout terms.

Lists do change. The restricted list is recorded per firm on its page here, and the firm's own terms remain the final word before you pay.

Getting paid from Indonesia

Payout method matters more than payout speed if the money cannot reach you. 22 of the 27 firms here pay in crypto and 17 offer a bank transfer. Crypto is the common denominator: it is the method most firms support, and it does not depend on a correspondent bank relationship with Indonesia.

Bank transfer is the alternative, but international wires carry fees on both ends and can take days. Riseworks, a payout platform several firms use, is worth checking case by case before you rely on it.

Whatever the method, the money arrives in USD or a stablecoin. Conversion to rupiah, and the tax treatment of that income, is your side of the arrangement and worth asking a local accountant about rather than a forum.

Paying for the challenge

27 firms accept a credit or debit card and 25 accept crypto. Indonesian cards sometimes fail on international merchants, which is one practical reason the crypto option is useful even for traders who would rather not use it.

Check the currency you are charged in. A card that works may still add a foreign transaction fee, and that fee is part of the true cost of the challenge, alongside any activation fee.

What actually differs for a trader in Jakarta

The trading day. Most prop firm rules are written around the New York close, which falls in the early morning in Indonesia, and daily loss limits reset on that clock rather than on the local one. A late-night session here can belong to yesterday on the firm's books.

The economic calendar on this site is shown in New York time for that reason, and the terminal page marks which releases are high-impact so you can check your firm's news rule before the session that matters.
